The Shipyard Museum takes us on a journey through time, giving the visitor a unique experience as if he were in the heart of history.
The museum focuses on displaying various aspects of shipbuilding in the Wilayat of Sur, starting from primitive industry tools before Christ, through the stages of shipbuilding, and ending with their seafaring routes.
The museum includes several sections, including:
Shipbuilding Tools Corner: Displays traditional shipbuilding tools, such as leather and ropes, without the use of nails.
Map Corner: Displays an old map of the Wilayat of Sur showing the places where ships dock, the locations of old buildings, and shipbuilding tools.
Shipmakers Corner: Includes pictures of prominent shipbuilders in the Wilayat, known as "Al Wasatid".
Shipbuilding Stages Corner: Explains the steps of shipbuilding in detail, from cutting wood to installing sails.
Ship Paths Corner: Displays the seafaring routes of ships, clarifying the duration of the trip and the date of departure and return.
